Freedom by Bawa Pahadi (Rap ID)

Rap ID is dead. Bawa Pahadi is here.

For years, Rap ID has used conscious rap as a way to speak about society, injustice, freedom and the realities around us. From his work on Hustle 3 to his independent music on YouTube, he has used rap not only as entertainment, but as a medium to create awareness.

Now, in “Legacy,” he announces a new identity — Rap ID is no more. He is Bawa Pahadi.

And with that announcement comes “Freedom” — a song about finding the courage to speak, question and remain free. The lyrics speak about corruption, inequality, the system, political power and the struggle for truth. Lines such as “Bas thodi jagah in awaazo ko bhi do” call for space for voices that are often ignored, while “Yeh awaaz Inqalaab” becomes the heartbeat of the song.

The song also carries the spirit of unity — reminding us of the simple lesson, “Ekta mein bal hai.” It is about standing together, refusing to be silenced and protecting the dreams of freedom. The final verse makes the transformation even clearer:

“Ek Rapper ki kahaani laaya gaur se suno, Rap ID is no more.”

This is not simply a change of name. It feels like the beginning of a new chapter.

Listen to “Freedom” and hear the voice for yourself.
