On 18 September 1985, a sadhu passed away in Uttar Pradesh. In the evening, his body was cremated at Guptar Ghat in Faizabad, with only a few people present.
Do you know who this sadhu was?
He was none other than Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose — the man who sacrificed everything for India’s freedom. After the partial independence, he disappeared from public life and lived like a sadhu, away from the recognition and identity that many freedom fighters received. Some called him Parde Wale Baba, some Bhagwan Ji, and others Gumnaami Baba.
Much of the research into this mystery has been carried out by Mission Netaji, Anuj Dhar, Chandra Chur Ghose and their team. The Mukherjee Commission also accepted that it was Netaji. The government simply needs to bring the truth into the open and officially declare. But, it is not doing, why? They are still hanging on with the same narrative the ashes The ashes preserved at Renkō-ji Temple in Tokyo, Japan,belong to Ichiro Okura, a Japanese soldier, and not Netaji. The government could settle the question through appropriate scientific examination, including DNA testing. We request the Government of India to bring the truth into the open and officially declare the truth about Netaji. If we are truly free, then declare it officially. There should not be any country like ours that does not give recognition to a leader who played a big role in freeing our country.
What kind of country is this, and what kind of leaders are we having?
Our leaders have all the facilities, while their children are settled abroad. Perhaps this issue does not benefit anyone during elections, so it is ignored. But we, as citizens, should not ignore it.

Governments have changed, but the question remains:
Are we truly independent? or Are we still under pressure or control of global powerful nations?
Why can’t we still officially acknowledge the truth about one of our own greatest freedom fighters?
This clearly shows what kind of independence Netaji envisioned and what kind of independence we have today.
