As we step into New Year 2026, we wish everyone a year filled with peace, clarity, and meaningful growth. The year begins on Thursday (Guruwar)—Guru, meaning Teacher—and also ends on a Thursday. A day associated with wisdom, learning, and guidance. May our Gurus and teachers show us the right path, lead us toward truth, and bless everyone to live a life rooted in truth, honesty, and compassion.
New Year Resolutions: Beyond Promises
Every new year brings resolutions. Some we follow, some we forget. We plan to leave bad habits behind and adopt good ones. This year, let us remember an important principle: do not get addicted to anything—not even pleasure, success, or sorrow.
Along with this, remember that consistency is the key. Do not try to do everything at once. Real change happens slowly and steadily. If you are starting something new, begin with just one minute, then move to five minutes, then ten. Increase gradually, day by day, until it becomes a natural part of your life.
Think about how effortlessly you brush your teeth, take a bath, or eat your meals every day. You do these things without struggle because they have become habits. In the same way, turn good practices into habits—reading regularly, learning new things, studying, and continuously educating yourself.
Grow not only for yourself but also help your near and dear ones grow. Share knowledge, remove ignorance, and spread understanding. Most importantly, let there be no hatred—only love in your thoughts, words, and actions.
When habits are built with patience, consistency, and love, resolutions no longer remain promises—they become a way of life.
Moderation is the key to a healthy and happy life.
Excessive merriment is often followed by sorrow. Tears and laughter are closely related; people often move quickly from one extreme to another. Instead of swinging between extremes, let us choose the middle path—a path that is cheerful yet calm. Every excess creates a reaction, just like day follows night. Living in balance protects us from unnecessary suffering.
Life’s Reality: Ups and Downs Are Inevitable
In life, it is impossible to experience only desirable situations. The world is such that ups and downs are bound to happen. When something wonderful happens—success, wealth, power, or status—we often become overly excited. And when things do not go our way, we fall into deep disappointment or depression.
A truly happy life is not one without problems, but one where a person remains equanimous in every situation. This means staying balanced during both success and failure. Smiling at life—not a fake smile to show others, but a genuine inner smile that says:
“This situation has come. Let me see how long it lasts.”
No situation in the world is permanent. Everything is bound to change sooner or later. Understanding this intellectually is not enough. We must accept it emotionally and experientially. Faith alone does not help unless we practice awareness and observe what is happening within us again and again. By training the mind to remain calm amidst all experiences, we become truly balanced individuals.
Focus on Three Pillars of Life
To live a complete and meaningful life, focus on three interdependent aspects:
- Physical – Take care of your body through yoga, exercise, sports, or any form of active work. A healthy body supports a healthy mind.
- Mental – Practice meditation, play games, engage in creative activities, and cultivate equanimity in all situations.
- Spiritual – When the body and mind are balanced, the spiritual path naturally opens. Pray—not only for yourself, but for peace for all beings on Earth.
Service and Oneness
Do service to all beings. Remember, when you help someone else, you are helping yourself. There is no “other.” All work is our work. We are all one. Let us follow the path shown by Gurus and enlightened souls across the world who have taught us this eternal truth.
Accept Responsibility and Grow
Learn to accept your mistakes. Stand up, be bold, and take responsibility for your actions. Do not blame others for your suffering. Growth begins when we accept that we are the cause—and therefore we can also be the solution. Do good. Be good.
Looking Ahead: Project Right To Truth in 2026
Let us keep doing good actions without constantly looking at the results. When we focus only on outcomes, we lose the joy of the action itself. Right action, done with sincerity and honesty, is enough. Results will come in their own time and in the right way.
This attitude keeps the mind light, peaceful, and free from anxiety. It allows us to work with dedication, love, and clarity, without pressure or fear of failure. When we act with such awareness, every action itself becomes a step toward inner growth and true happiness.
In 2026, our Project: Right To Truth will focus even more on bringing truth to you. Let us question everything, seek clarity, and strive to find genuine answers. Truth liberates, and the journey toward it transforms us.
We wish you all a Happy, Balanced, and Truthful New Year 2026.
May this year bring wisdom, courage, and peace to all.
